Advantages of IT

Some advantages of IT are Communication, Storing and Protecting Information, and More Time. "With the help of information technology, communication has also become cheaper, quicker, and more efficient."  Business can communicate faster and made decision quicker due to IT, unlike how it was in the old days where you have to wait for a couple of days just to get the information you needed to make the decision.  Also for society it is easier for a you to communicate with your friend, family, and teacher by simply email or text.
Secondly, "IT provides a low-cost business options to store and maintain information that may be important from a business or service point of view. Virtual vaults and other such security systems not only store vital data but also allow control over the access to such information. IT security systems will also protect virtual data from being hacked or wiped out in case of any technical failure."  IT has also made storing very useful because it doesn't take up space like if you was to store paper information, it also save time and is very easy to pull up informaiton.
Finally, More Time mean " IT has made it possible for businesses to be open 24 x7 all over the globe. This means that a business can be open anytime anywhere, making purchases from different countries easier and more convenient. It also means that you can have your goods delivered right to your doorstep with having to move a single muscle."  IT save a lot of times due to quicker access when paying bills and shopping online.  IT has been very useful not just to business but also to the society.

  1. I believe you brought up some strong points in this blog post. You say that IT has made communications cheaper and I completely agree with you. What I don't understand is why in the United States has IT related services not become as cheap as around the world. Not only do we NOT have the faster downloading speeds, our internet and phone bills are through the roof compared to other, highly developed countries such as Korea and the UK.
My personal opinion in the matter is BLAME the Oligopolies such as Verizon, Comcast, etc. Their ability to price fix (yes it is illegal but we all know they do) and control the market supply has led to extremely high IT service bills. Not only that, but to provide the service has never been cheaper, and it keeps on getting cheaper. This being said, why aren't prices going down?
There is however some good news, and of course it comes riding on the back of Google once again. Google Fiber is the new big thing. They have started to provide Google Fiber services in controlled market areas around the United States and have given Americans the ability to have quicker internet and cheaper phone service. Best of all, its for half the price! Therefore, if you want to talk about IT advantages, lets wait until Google Fiber makes it to Charlotte. That is when we can start talking

    1. Why prices are not going down? Well to answer your question, there is many reasons why prices are not going down. It is not just because of Verizon, Comcast, and etc. who has effect on the price. It could be because of the economy and how money is not worth as much as it used to be causing a fluation. I also think that because Verizon and Comcast are the better company so you have to pay that premium if you want their service.
